The Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (LEIP) is an initiative operated through a partnership of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business and the ETL Education Foundation. LEIP is designed for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.
The program consists of three modules: Entrepreneurial Thinking: In this module, students will be trained on developing a new concept, be it a new business, a new social venture, or a new product/service for an existing entity. The sessions will combine training on functional business skills, elevator pitch preparation and business model development.
Current Events and Civic Engagement: In this module, students will explore various current events and political activism. Dr. Meena Bose, the Executive Dean for Public Policy and Public Service Programs at the Peter S. Kalikow School and Director of Hofstra’s Peter S. Kalikow Center for the Study of the American Presidency will be a special guest presenter.
Leadership and College Readiness: In this module, students will complete exercises to help develop their leadership skills. They will also receive training on the college admissions process including assistance with preparing for successful college applications. This module will include a mentoring and networking session with a variety of professionals.
