Explorers Financial Literacy Workshop with Cultivating Lives
#CultivatingLives was founded in 2020 by activist, author, and serial business owner LaShawn Lukes and General Contractor and business owner Jammie Freeman. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, they took that time to self-reflect and took a closer look at the state of emergency of the black and browns in this country. There is a serious problem to address in low-income communities that cannot thrive due to a lack of resources but, most of all, education and support. The team put their plan into action to empower those who do not see hope daily by providing educational resources, credit building, life skills, preventive services, and hands-on support to assist in cultivating those living within compromised communities to improve their state of living.
